Is IFD unavoidable now? #463

I remember this topic was discussed, but just to refresh and be clear, and especially since the README doesn't seem to be up to date on this at the moment. It seems that since 115c3de, IFD is unavoidable. Is that correct? |

Somewhat. Some ports will need to use IFD so they can still be usable for with reasonable usage, like lazygit see #455. But some other ports like LSD can be moved to use xdg config files, meaning we can avoid using IFD.
