docs(event-gateway): explain rule order and API versioning - #29

Filter, transform and deduplicate rules run in rules[] order, and on API versions before 2025-07-01 transformations always run before filters, whatever order the rules are sent in. Add a Rule Order section with a filter-then-transform example, tell agents to use the current API version, and point the source-type listing at /latest/openapi instead of a dated version. Agents editing Connections over the REST API were getting filter → transform flipped to transform → filter on every save. The cause: on API versions before
2025-07-01, transformations always run before filters, whatever order the rules are sent in. Nothing in the skill mentioned rule order or which API version to use.connection-rules.md, with a filter-then-transform--rulesexampleapi-patterns.mdnow says to use the current API version, and why/latest/openapiinstead of/2025-07-01/openapiDetails
createEventsFromRequest.tsiterateswebhook.rulesin order for transform, filter and deduplicate. Delay and retry are looked up by type.server/api/routes/gateway/webhook.ts, underversioned_preprocess_ops['2025-07-01'], applies to requests on2025-01-01and older.--ruleswhen order matters because the CLI's--rule-*flags currently build in a fixed order (deduplicate → transform → filter → delay → retry). A paired hookdeck-cli PR fixes that.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
