Full details: Description check
-
Explanation
The description provides detailed problem context, implementation scope, testing evidence, reproduction steps, test impact, and known validation gaps. The required Problem, Solution, and Evidence headings are not used verbatim, but the required information is present under equivalent sections.
Full details: Contribution Quality And Spam Detection
-
Explanation
No qualifying spam or low-quality contribution pattern is established. The PR is a substantial, codebase-specific accessibility feature linked to RHOAIENG-66823, with 29 changed files, topology implementation changes, unit tests, Cypress coverage, documentation, and manual validation details. It does not present a security fix or generic vulnerability report, and the diff shows no listed security-theater or code-quality signal. No verifiable cross-repository evidence is available, so that category is not counted.
Full details: No Hardcoded Secrets
-
Explanation
No hardcoded secret was introduced in the reviewed diff. Added-line scans found no API keys, tokens, passwords, private keys, embedded URL credentials, secret-like string assignments, or credential-shaped encodings. The only changed configuration file is the pipeline sample YAML, which contains public UBI image references and test pipeline commands, not credentials. No CWE/CVE finding applies.
Full details: No Weak Cryptography
-
Explanation
The reviewed diff introduces no banned cryptographic primitive, custom cryptography, or secret/token comparison. Exact searches of added PR lines found no MD5, SHA1, DES, 3DES, RC4, Blowfish, ECB, hash/HMAC APIs, Web Crypto APIs, or timing-safe comparison replacements. The new code handles graph accessibility, focus, layout, tests, documentation, and a non-cryptographic KFP sample. No CWE/CVE applies.
Full details: No Injection Vectors
-
Explanation
PASS. The reviewed range contains no SQL interpolation, unsafe eval/exec, unsafe deserialization, os.system, shell=True, or dangerouslySetInnerHTML usage. The sample pipeline uses fixed
sh -cscripts; dynamic message and artifact-path values are separate quoted positional arguments, and the call sites provide hardcoded values. No CWE-78, CWE-79, CWE-89, CWE-94, or CWE-502 injection vector was introduced.
Full details: No Privileged Containers
-
Explanation
No changed Kubernetes/OpenShift manifest, Helm template, or Dockerfile introduces a privileged-container setting. The only changed YAML is a KFP pipeline definition with
schemaVersion: 2.1.0; itsroot:key is the pipeline DAG root, not a user setting. The changed-file inventory contains no Dockerfile or Helm file, and the diff contains noprivileged, host namespace,SYS_ADMIN,allowPrivilegeEscalation, orrunAsUser: 0setting. No CWE/CVE applies.
Full details: No Sensitive Data In Logs
-
Explanation
No changed logging statement exposes sensitive data. The only added output is fixed text in the new Cypress pipeline sample; its dynamic values are non-sensitive task descriptions. The existing
console.error(..., e)statement is unchanged and therefore is not PR-caused.

5: 🧹 Nit · Style review
min-width: 500px is a hardcoded pixel value. Per project conventions, layout dimensions should reference PF semantic tokens (e.g., var(--pf-t--global--spacer--*)) or a project-level --ai-* variable in vars.scss. (Pre-existing line, surfaced for completeness.)
frontend/src/concepts/topology/customNodes/ArtifactTaskNode.tsx (1)
141: 🧹 Nit · Style review
artifact-node-label is missing the odh- prefix. Custom class names in frontend/src/ must use odh- (e.g., odh-artifact-node-label) to avoid namespace collisions with PatternFly internals.

| Jira PR review | AC #1 (status summary with step counts and failed-step buttons) was explicitly removed — PR body says "No supplementary step list or status tags are rendered above the graph." AC #7 (GOV UK JAWS/NVDA validation) is acknowledged as pending. ACs #2–6 appear satisfied. |
Prior findings still open (not re-posting)
These threads from the previous preflight run remain unaddressed. No new comments were posted since the original inline threads are still visible on the PR.
🟠 Major — Claude review · PipelineVisualizationSurface.tsx line 142
querySelector('[data-testid="pipeline-drawer-task-title"]') finds no element on PipelineDetails and PipelineRecurringRunDetails because SelectedTaskDrawerContent.tsx (used by those pages) was not updated with tabIndex={-1} and the testid. Keyboard focus is silently discarded on those two pages.
🟡 Minor — Claude review · PipelineVisualizationSurface.tsx line 56
controller.setState called inside a useEffect that lists controller as a dependency — risks a re-run loop if controller's reference changes.
🟡 Minor — Claude review · PipelineDefaultTaskGroup.tsx line 122
item.getData()?.runStatus is RunStatus | string | undefined but NodeStatusIcon expects RunStatus | string — passing undefined falls through to a stale tooltip label.
🟡 Minor — Style review · PipelineDefaultTaskGroup.tsx line 121
Hardcoded width: 26 in inline style — use a PF token or project-level --ai-* variable.
🟡 Minor — Style review · PipelineDefaultTaskGroup.tsx line 124
Hardcoded marginLeft: 4 in inline style — use var(--pf-t--global--spacer--xs) instead.

Jira PR review — RHOAIENG-66823
Product ask: aligned — Jira and PR both target keyboard and screen-reader access to the pipeline run graph.
Departure (needs human): The Jira AC explicitly requires a status summary above the pipeline graph (step counts by status, failed-step names as clickable buttons). The PR body states "No supplementary step list or status tags are rendered above the graph." The Jira comment thread explains the rationale (PatternFly upstream react-topology#319 fixed keyboard nav natively, removing the need for the workaround summary), but the written AC has not been updated and no PM/PO sign-off is recorded in the ticket. This requires explicit confirmation that AC 1 is no longer in scope.

| 1 | Status summary above graph with step counts by status and failed-step buttons | ❌ MISS | PR body explicitly states the status summary was removed; no such component in the diff. |

✅ PASS | PipelineNodeButton.tsx: foreignObject + <button> with onKeyDown handler for Enter/Space activation. |

| 5 | NodeStatusIcon has aria-label with human-readable status text |
✅ PASS | NodeStatusIcon.tsx line 59: aria-label={label || undefined} on <Icon>. |
| 6 | Drawer tabs have aria-label and PF onSelect for keyboard tab switching |
✅ PASS | PipelineRunDrawerRightTabs.tsx in diff; PR body confirms drawer tab accessibility improvements. |

🧹 Nitpick comments (1)
frontend/src/concepts/topology/__tests__/a11yUtils.spec.ts (1)
50: 🧹 Nit · Claude review
Early return silently passes the test when expected nodes are missing.
if (!group || !child) { return; } after toBeDefined assertions causes the test to pass vacuously if nodes are unexpectedly absent. Jest's toBeDefined does not throw on its own in all configurations. Use a non-null assertion (group!) after the expect, or throw explicitly, to ensure a missing node surfaces as a failure rather than a silent pass.

Thanks for working through all of these. I re-checked every thread from my last review against the current head, not just the replies, and both blockers are fixed. Expanded groups track hover through PatternFly again, and reading order now uses the first visible child, with a test that fails on alphabetical order alone. The rest are in too: hidden state computed once per selection, the status-label tests, the group details action, the single artifact button with focus-as-hover, held-key repeat, the #322 TODO, the fixed accessible name, role="img", and full-button panning. Taj010's module-level label component with context looks clean as well.
Locally on e874590: type-check and eslint are clean, Jest passes 149/149, and pipelinesTopology.cy.ts passed 57/57 three runs in a row (plus the edge-case, artifacts and import specs). The @PipelinesCI E2E shard ran on 048ae7c and the pipelines spec passed. The failures there were maas, featureStore and llmAcceleratorConfigs, so unrelated.
The one thing I'd like fixed before merge is the label-in-name issue inline (one line). Everything else is non-blocking:
- The fallback numbers in
PipelineDefaultTaskGroup(42.5, 13, 26, 28.25, 12) still need a short comment saying where they come from. - There's no regression test for the expanded-group hover fix. Zooming out to medium detail, hovering the group and asserting the action icon renders would cover it.
- Jira: I missed your Oct 9 comment on RHOAIENG-66823 last time, sorry about that. AC #1 and the expected results still describe the status summary, though. Could you move it to out of scope and note who signed off, so the ticket matches what ships?
- A short GIF of the keyboard flow would still help, since the UI checklist items are unchecked.

Same thing fullsend flagged: the visible text is "View group details", but the accessible name is "View details for X task group". The visible label isn't in the name, which fails WCAG 2.5.3 (label in name). Someone using voice control and saying "click View group details" may not hit it. That's worth fixing in a PR whose whole point is the a11y audit.

The expanded-group details overlay at ~L413 is fine as is, since it has no visible text.

There was a problem hiding this comment.
nit: I don't think this would have failed on the old code. The original bug needed the surface to re-render after the collapse (a poll or a parent update) so selectedNodeIsHidden flipped. Pipeline details doesn't poll, so nothing re-renders here. Running it on run details and ticking past a poll interval would make it a real guard.
Also, this uses cy.clock() on pipeline details, while the comment at L460 says fake timers break Monaco on this page. It passes (I ran the spec 3x locally, 57/57 each time), so maybe installing it after load is fine. Either way, one of the two should be updated so they don't contradict each other.

There was a problem hiding this comment.
nit: with 20px of padding, a node in the bottom-left can still end up under the zoom control bar. That's where I saw normalize-dataset hidden originally. Insetting the bottom by the control bar's height, or excluding its rect, would cover it. Not blocking.
Superseded by updated review
https://redhat.atlassian.net/browse/RHOAIENG-66823
Description
Add keyboard and screen-reader access directly to pipeline run graphs. Task and artifact nodes share a native button overlay through SVG
foreignObject, with their names and statuses in accessible labels. Nodes follow visual reading order when tabbing, including after selection and drawer close. Collapsed groups expose a keyboard-operated task popover and a separate Expand control; expanded groups expose a Collapse control. Drawer tabs and status icons have clearer accessible names. Closing a task or artifact drawer returns focus to the graph control that opened it. No supplementary step list or status tags are rendered above the graph. This PR also adds a KFP v2 sample with parallel work, a three-step nested group, an artifact, an intentional failure, and a successor that does not execute after that failure.

Test Impact
Added unit tests for visual reading order and collapsed-group visibility, plus Cypress regressions for drawer focus and stable graph order. The KFP sample supports manual screen-reader testing on a real pipeline run.
