Issues

• Defocused stars wider than ~30-36 px cannot be reduced: fit_centroid's fixed 31x31 window collapses the PSF width (sigma 0.5, apertures ~1-2 px)

• Per-point errors set the Tmid bar and ΔBIC, not the residual scatter: MObs frames at the default gain (1 e-/ADU vs the listed 53.6) swing the bar 4x on identical points

• 6efeab8 full mode: LM boundary scout expands a/R* to [1e-6, 18], turning an honest prior-fallback into a confident wrong depth (real-night benchmark, 15.7 min vs 24 min)

• exotic 4.3.1 is uninstallable on Python 3.13 (Colab's new default) — numba and numpy pins have no cp313 path

• Tmid posterior 3.2x narrower on identical photometry between dev102 and current tip — intended, or warm-start under-dispersion?

• WBoM audit: photometry noise budget double-counts read noise; edge apertures silently wrong; input-layer unit/sign traps

• WBoM audit: api/ephemeris — O-C band labeled 1-sigma spans 0.36-sigma, amplitudes wrong 40-200x, second-order coefficient misalignment

rzellem/EXOTIC#1398 · Filter by author opusbuilds opened on Jul 30, 2026

• WBoM audit: joint_fitter — doubled LC chi2, RV/LC parameter-offset collision, swapped get_phase args, per-night bounds overwrite

• WBoM audit: NASA archive parameter mapping — zero-depth planets, 1-solar-mass a/Rs fallback, cache-path crash, nan proper-motion guard

• WBoM audit: AAVSO writers — AID #DATE=BJD_TDB not spec-legal, DETREND_1 misaligned after prefit trimming, NaN-uncertainty crash

rzellem/EXOTIC#1395 · Filter by author opusbuilds opened on Jul 30, 2026

• WBoM audit: limb-darkening generation — published u0-u3 are not Claret coefficients (sum forced to 1); quadratic/linear modes broken

• WBoM: EEBLS preprocessing biases its own QC metrics (error fallback of 1.0; detrend through in-transit points)

• WBoM: -ov -nea leaves RA/Dec as sexagesimal strings — BJD_TDB silently wrong by 90-540 s (Tmid-scale)
